Heritage & Art of a Luxury Gulet

The Luxury of Time and Space

Luxury Gulet sailing under full sails in the bay of Marmaris- Luxury Gulet Charter

On board a Luxury Gulet, the world slows down. Here, luxury is defined by the freedom to follow the wind, accompanied by refined elegance and the excellence of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.

Imagine waking up in a secluded bay where the water is as clear as liquid glass. These pristine waters reveal a magical underwater world, where colorful fish glide over a unique pebbled seabed rich in marine life. While your professional crew discreetly prepares breakfast on deck, you take your first dive of the day into the refreshing sea.

After a leisurely breakfast, the journey continues as you cruise to the next picturesque cove, passing dramatic coastlines and hidden inlets. By the time we drop anchor, the crew has already prepared a light Mediterranean lunch, served in the cool shade of the alfresco aft deck.

The afternoon takes you to another dreamlike bay where you will spend the night. Once anchored, the time is yours: relax on the spacious sun decks, dive back into the turquoise water, enjoy various water sports, or go ashore to explore the ancient surroundings. In the late afternoon, the scent of freshly brewed coffee, tea, and homemade cake wafts across the deck—a perfect treat while you relax.

As the sun begins to dip towards the horizon, it’s time for a sundowner cocktail before the main event. For dinner, the crew serves a delicious feast featuring freshly prepared Turkish Meze, exquisite Mediterranean main courses, and tempting desserts. To ensure every meal is a highlight, your personal preferences and dietary wishes are meticulously noted on a preference list before your journey, allowing the chef to tailor every bite to your taste.

After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy—perhaps watching a movie in the outdoor cinema under the stars or simply counting shooting stars in the silent, midnight sky.

Turkey - Bodrum harbour and Castle of St Peter — Türkiye, Bareboat Charter, luxury Gulet Charter, High Deluxe Yacht Charter, Superyacht Charter - Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean coastline.

Bodrum

Bodrum ·  The Cradles of Culture

Your journey often begins in Bodrum, the "St. Tropez of Turkey," where the majestic Castle of St. Peter stands as a timeless sentinel guarding the twin bays. Before you weigh anchor, wander through the vibrant Old Town, a maze of narrow, whitewashed streets draped in purple bougainvillea. The waterfront is a lively stage of chic cafes and world-class restaurants where the scent of jasmine mingles with the salty sea breeze. From here, sail into the Gulf of Gökova, a paradise of pine-clad shores. Rounding the Tekir Cape, you encounter Knidos, an ancient city where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean—its majestic amphitheater still watching over two natural harbors reachable only by boat.

Datça

Datça  ·  The Serene Soul of the Peninsula

The Datça Peninsula is a place of rare, rugged beauty where the air is famously pure—so clear, the locals say, it has the power to heal the soul. The town itself exudes an understated elegance, with its charming stone houses and a harbor that invites long, leisurely lunches under the shade of ancient trees. Explore the bohemian spirit of Old Datça (Eski Datça), where narrow cobblestone paths are lined with local art galleries and cozy teahouses tucked away in courtyards heavy with the scent of night-blooming jasmine. Datça remains an untouched sanctuary of peace, world-famous for its crisp, sun-ripened almonds and fragrant thyme honey. Every February, the peninsula turns into a sea of white and pink during the Almond Blossom Festival, but their rich, nutty flavor is a treasure to be savored all year round, especially when paired with a glass of local wine as the sun sets over the Aegean.

Beautiful harbor town in the Mediterranean.

Hisarönü Gulf

Scenic view from a local taverna overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Dirsek Bay, Turkey.

The Untamed Beauty Hisarönü Gulf

The Gulf of Hisarönü is a serene expanse dotted with volcanic islands, high rugged cliffs, and scattered ancient gems. It is a region of extraordinary natural beauty, offering numerous secluded and remote bays that are perfect for those seeking peace and privacy. From forgotten ruins perched on rocky outcrops to weathered stones whispering tales of Carian history, the past is always within sight as you venture deep into this tranquil paradise.

As we pass Cape Atabol, the gulf reveals its most secret treasures, reachable only by boat. Your first stop is Dirsek Bükü, famous for its Caribbean-style turquoise waters. Here, you step ashore onto an ancient stone pier that has stood for centuries and is still used today by the small, rustic tavern at the water's edge. The air is filled with the scent of wild rosemary and the famous Adaçayı (mountain sage) growing on the slopes. Every morning, the scent of freshly baked "Bazlama Ekmek" (traditional village bread) wafts from the tavern's stone oven—a true sailor's tradition.

Just a mile further lies Koca Bahçe (Sailor’s Paradise), a breathtaking bay with deep, blue waters. This secluded gem features a charming, family-run tavern with its own private jetty, allowing sailing yachts and catamarans to moor directly at the heart of the experience. The tavern is set within a lovingly landscaped garden where fresh vegetables and herbs are grown, ensuring that every dish served is as authentic and fresh as the surrounding sea.

Continuing into the heart of the gulf, you reach the charming fishing village of Selimiye, a true oasis for food lovers and explorers alike. Nestled in a calm, lake-like bay and embraced by lush green mountains, the village is lined with exquisite waterfront restaurants. Here, the tables are set directly at the water's edge, offering a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the finest Mediterranean flavors. Beyond its culinary delights, Selimiye is a haven for style: discover pretty boutique hotels and unique shops offering boho-chic fashion, handcrafted jewelry, and local artisan crafts that reflect the elegant, soulful spirit of the village.

Yesilova Gulf

Panoramic view of Bozburun port, a premier yachting destination on the Turkish coast, known for its authentic atmosphere and luxury yacht charters.

Bozburun & Söğüt

As you enter the Yeşilova Gulf—perfectly positioned between the Hisarönü Gulf and the Strait of Rhodes, just opposite the Greek island of Symi.

The soul of this region is Bozburun, a haven of "quiet luxury" and a hidden gem for those seeking a slower pace of life. Its waterfront is lined with intimate restaurants and boutique shops, while the bay itself is a stunning sight—in the summer months, it is filled with exquisite luxury gulets, elegant sailing yachts, and magnificent superyachts riding silently at anchor. The gulf offers several beautiful bays and anchorages, but the absolute highlight at the entrance of Bozburun bay is Adaboğazı, also known as the "Aquarium Bay." This area features shallow, sandy passages where the water shimmers in every conceivable shade of turquoise, surrounded by the weathered ruins of a historic Greek village.

Further into the gulf lies the small, authentic village of Söğüt. It is a peaceful retreat known for a few charming waterfront restaurants. Here, life moves to the rhythm of the sea, offering an idyllic setting for a long, relaxed Mediterranean meal.

Bozukkale

Ancient Loryma

Steeped in history, the bay of Bozukkale is a natural harbor accessible only by sea. Guarding the entrance are the remarkably well-preserved walls of the ancient citadel of Loryma. Built by the Rhodians in the 4th century BC, this massive fortress served as a vital naval base and a shield, designed to monitor the straits of Rhodes and prevent enemy fleets from gathering before attacking the island of Rhodes located opposite.

A scenic hike along these storied walls rewards you with breathtaking panoramas, including sweeping views of Rhodes, Halki, Alimia, and Symi—a sight that leaves a lasting impression. Inside this sheltered cove, life is wonderfully slow. There are only three small, rustic taverns nestled along the shore, each with its own wooden jetty. These family-run spots are famous for their warm hospitality and traditional Aegean dishes. Without roads or cars, Bozukkale remains a true sailors' hideaway, where you can anchor under the stars, surrounded by history and the peaceful rhythm of the Mediterranean.

Breathtaking vista of the sheltered Bozukkale Bay from the ancient fortress, featuring luxury Gulets, sailing yachts and catamarans at anchor in the historic harbor.

Marmaris

Panoramic view of Marmaris harbor featuring the iconic lighthouse, a vibrant waterfront, and luxury Gulets at anchor.

Marmaris  ·  The Heart of Yachting

As a premier international hub, Marmaris is the ultimate gateway for luxury gulet charters and bareboat adventures. Its location is unparalleled: sail west towards Bodrum, east to the bays of Göcek, or cross over to the nearby Greek island of Rhodes.

The soul of the city lies in its historic Old Town, where narrow streets lead up to Marmaris Castle. From the top, you are rewarded with a magnificent panorama over the bustling harbor. At the northern end of this harbor, the prestigious Netsel Marina is a centerpiece of the region, hosting prestigious yachts and major charter fleets, as well as high-end boutiques and some excellent restaurants.

Nestled just below the fortress is the traditional Bazaar, while the vibrant waterfront promenade—where the most luxurious gulets are moored—offers numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés starting right from the harbor bridge. For a scenic stroll, a coastal path leads from the end of the harbor all the way to İçmeler, a lively stretch lined with a wide variety of hotels, bars, and seaside dining.

Dalyan

Ekincik & Dalyan  ·  The Delta of Wonders

Anchoring in the pristine bay of Ekincik, you are at the gateway to the Dalyan Delta, one of Turkey’s most extraordinary natural treasures. Set off early by private riverboat to begin your day at the spectacular İztuzu Beach, a 4.5-kilometer golden sandbar that separates the freshwater delta from the sea. A morning swim in the rolling waves of this golden sandbar—a protected WWF site and vital nesting ground for Caretta Caretta turtles—is a truly magical experience before you head into the reed-lined maze.

From the coast, you navigate the labyrinthine, reed-lined waterways of the Dalyan Delta. The boat glides through the emerald-green maze, leading you toward the picturesque village of Dalyan. Perched high on the sheer cliffs overlooking the river are the towering Lycian Rock Tombs, the monumental resting places of the kings of ancient Kaunos. A visit to the nearby ruins of Kaunos reveals a fascinating history, featuring a well-preserved Roman theater and ancient agora.

To complete the adventure, you can experience the healing sulfurous hot springs and mud baths before the riverboat winds its way back through the reeds. This unique blend of raw nature and ancient history, protected by the WWF, makes Dalyan one of the most unforgettable stops on any Turkish coastline itinerary.

Aerial view of the stunning Iztuzu Beach separating the Mediterranean Sea from the lush reed labyrinth of the Dalyan Delta.

Göcek

Stunning panoramic view over Göcek Gulf, featuring the bays of Sarsala and Göbün, extending toward Fethiye Gulf with the majestic Mount Babadağ in the background.

Göcek · The Exclusive Yachting Paradise

Göcek is a charming yet sophisticated town that serves as a premier start and end base for both luxury gulet cruises and bareboat charters. Nestled in a massive, sheltered natural bay, the town is a boutique haven of elegant cafés and high-end shops, while its six world-class marinas mark it as the most professional yachting hub in the region. It is the ultimate gateway to the famous "Twelve Islands," a maze of turquoise coves where each bay tells its own story.

The journey through these waters takes you to the lush surroundings of Boynuz Bükü, famous for its fragrant forest, and the stunning deep-blue anchorage of Sarsala. Further along, the narrow entrance of Kapı Creek offers a secluded sanctuary, leading the way to the historical shores of Tersane Island, where you can swim among the remains of an ancient Greek shipyard. The experience culminates in the legendary Wall Bay, home to the submerged ruins of Cleopatra’s Bath, where history and the crystal-clear Mediterranean merge into one.

Whether you are exploring these untouched shores or enjoying the refined lifestyle of the town's waterfront, Göcek offers an unparalleled blend of luxury and natural beauty.

Fethiye

Fethiye · Tradition & Vibrant Markets

As a bustling traditional harbor town, Fethiye serves as another excellent start and end port for both luxury gulets and bareboat charters. Life here centers around the vibrant waterfront and the famous fish market, where you can select your fresh catch and have it prepared by one of the surrounding restaurants. A stroll through the colorful Old Town Bazaar (Paspatur) offers a sensory journey through narrow streets filled with spices, textiles, and local crafts.

The town is overlooked by ancient Lycian rock tombs, but the true wonders lie just a short distance away. High above, the majestic Babadağ mountain towers over the coastline, world-renowned as a premier destination for paragliding. Below its slopes lie the breathtaking turquoise waters of Ölüdeniz and the legendary Blue Lagoon. For a hauntingly beautiful experience, a visit to the "ghost village" of Kayaköy is essential—an abandoned Greek settlement that stands as a silent monument to the region's complex history. Fethiye perfectly balances the energy of a Mediterranean port with the timeless allure of its surrounding natural and historical landmarks.

Panoramic view over the bustling harbor of Fethiye, Turkey, featuring a magnificent lineup of luxury Gulets and motorsailers at the waterfront.

Kalkan

A picturesque narrow street in Kalkan's old town, featuring traditional stone houses adorned with vibrant pink bougainvillea.

Kalkan · Sophisticated Mediterranean Charm

Perched on a steep hillside, Kalkan is a chic and sophisticated destination, renowned for its beautifully preserved historic houses adorned with cascading purple bougainvillea and traditional ornate wooden balconies. This former Greek fishing village has evolved into a premier retreat, featuring a picturesque harbor lined with elegant waterfront restaurants.

What truly sets Kalkan apart is its spectacular array of rooftop dining. As the sun sets, the town transforms into a glowing amphitheater, offering some of the finest culinary experiences on the coast with sweeping views over the bay. Its narrow, winding streets are home to upscale boutiques and artisan galleries, lending the town a refined, cosmopolitan atmosphere. Kalkan also serves as a perfect base for visiting the nearby Kaputaş Beach, famous for its turquoise surf, and the ancient golden sands of Patara.

Kaş

Kaş · The Bohemian Soul

Kaş is a vibrant, bohemian gem that captures the heart of every traveler. Its narrow, flower-lined streets—steeped in history—are filled with artisan boutiques, handmade jewelry shops, and cozy wine bars. The town’s unique charm is anchored by its ancient Lycian sarcophagi, which stand proudly in the middle of modern streets, and the well-preserved Hellenistic theater that overlooks the sea.

The atmosphere of the waterfront restaurants along the old harbor is unmatched, offering a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the Greek island of Meis (Kastellorizo), which lies just three miles offshore. Renowned for its exceptionally crystal-clear waters, Kaş is a sanctuary for divers and adventurers, maintaining a laid-back yet upscale vibe.

Whether you are exploring its underwater canyons or enjoying the sophisticated nightlife, Kaş offers a soulful, artistic energy that is truly unique to the Mediterranean.

Panoramic view over Kaş, showing the historic old harbor, the modern marina, and the surrounding bays-

Kekova

Scenic view of the historic village of Kaleköy and the ancient Simena Castle, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Kekova region.

Kekova · The Sunken Legacy

Discover the magic of Kekova, a region where history and nature merge in haunting beauty. This protected area is best experienced by boat, as you glide silently along the northern coast of Kekova Island to witness the Sunken City of Simena. Beneath the shimmering turquoise surface, ancient staircases, submerged foundations, and house ruins remain visible—a silent monument to an ancient earthquake.

The journey continues to the charming harbor of Üçağız, a traditional village built directly among the ruins of ancient Teimiussa, offering one of the most sheltered natural harbors in the Mediterranean. Just across the bay lies the enchanting village of Kaleköy, accessible only by sea. Here, ancient Lycian sarcophagi stand proudly in the shallow water, creating an iconic silhouette against the blue.

A climb through the narrow, flower-scented paths leads to the medieval fortress, but not before pausing for a local specialty: Kaleköy is famous for its exquisite homemade ice cream, crafted from fresh local fruits like peaches, figs, and cactus pears. Reaching the summit, you are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the scattered islands and hidden inlets—a view that has remained virtually unchanged for centuries.

This was just a glimpse into our beloved Turquoise Coast—there is so much more to discover.

Contracts, VAT & APA

What is a MYBA Contract?

MYBA (Worldwide Yachting Association) terms are internationally recognized and respected. A MYBA contract provides a standardized agreement with clear, consistent terms for the owner, manager, broker, and charterer. It defines everything from delivery and captain’s authority to cancellation and insurance.

In a MYBA contract, the charter rate includes the hire of the yacht, equipment, crew wages, crew subsistence, and yacht insurance. All other operating expenses (fuel, harbor fees, food/drinks) are payable by the charterer via an APA account.

What is APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)?

The APA is a powerful tool giving you full control over your expenses. It covers operating costs such as fuel, harbor fees, provisions, and special requests. Typically ranging from 25% to 40% of the charter fee, it is due with your final payment. Your Captain handles all payments and provides a detailed breakdown at the end. Any unused funds are reimbursed; overages are settled before disembarkation.

Are taxes and VAT included in the rate?

No. VAT (Value Added Tax) is determined by the country where the charter begins and is due with your final payment.

  • Turkey: 20% VAT.

  • Croatia: 13% VAT.

  • Montenegro: VAT exempt (0%).

  • Greece: Standard 24%, but drops to 13% for charters over 48 hours. Depending on international waters, it can be reduced to 5.2% or 9.6%.

VAT applicability will be confirmed at the time of booking.

What are "Gulet Terms"?

Common in Turkey, these include the yacht rental, crew, insurance, Turkish port taxes, and fuel for 3-4 hours of cruising daily. Food, beverages, VAT, private marina fees, crew gratuities, and fuel for motorized water sports are not included.

Safety & Logistics

Is travel insurance recommended?

Yes. We strongly recommend comprehensive personal travel insurance to cover medical needs, trip cancellations, or unexpected interruptions before or during your charter.

Are children allowed on board?

Yes, children are welcome on most Gulets. Many yachts are family-friendly, offering safe layouts for guests of all ages.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Guest safety is the Captain’s top priority. If conditions are unfavorable, the route may be adjusted to ensure a secure experience.

What should I pack?

Pack light in soft-sided luggage. Bring casual clothing, swimwear, sun protection, and soft-soled shoes for shore trips.
